iMac: The Most Machine for the Least Money

Apple recently beefed up their entire iMac line and made these computers a great buy for photographers. The iMacs have really been souped up this spring. I think that you now get more for your money here then you do with any other model of Apple computer.

I am happy to recommend the 24" iMac for serious digital photographers. If I were buying I would want the:

2.8Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
4GB 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM
ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro Graphics Card
500GB Serial ATA Drive
AppleCare Protection Plan

Again, let me stress that these new iMacs are a great value. None of the Apple laptop models offer this much power and the Mac Pro towers are a whole lot more expensive. Of course, the Mac Pro towers offer a lot more power but truthfully I don't need that much machine for my standard photographic projects.
